About Us

Landmark For All Generations, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2015, purposed with the mission to restore, rehabilitate, stabilize, and preserve Oklahoma’s first “colored hospital.” The Okmulgee Colored Hospital was founded in 1922 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (#84003387). Landmark For All Generations, Inc. was established to bring the history of the former Okmulgee Colored Hospital “to life for all generations.” Landmark For All Generations, Inc. maintains an active social media presence.

We aspire to transform this historic building into a museam that preserves and promotes Okmulgee’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. We aspire to house and showcase the dynamic artifacts, medical history, and heroic personnel of this monumental treasure. We further aspire to provide a central space for emergency preparedness, job and computer training, health and wellness fairs, community events, a commercial kitchen and office space. We believe that this project will create a transformative and enduring impact upon the lives of all who inhabit and visit the Okmulgee community.
